Ruth seems to be packing up boxes to move to the new house
Ruth tells beneatha how she and walter went to the movies for the first time in a long time last night
Walter enters the room, and they start dancing
A white man enters
He is from a committee from clayborn park, came to discuss the fact that there have been problems with colored people
He is saying that them negros should stay in their own area and that it isn’t a good idea for them to move somewhere they aren’t wanted
Mama enters, beneatha, and ruth tell mama what happened
They all have a gift for mama
A black man enters
He seems nervous, talking about moving money around to get a liquor license
He says Willie never showed up to the station
Walter gave his money to willie, and willie, disappeared with the money
Walter and beneatha’s money is gone
Mama is furious
Asagai enters
Beneatha tells him about the money
Beneatha tells a story of why she wanted to be a nurse
Asagai spills out his dreams
Asagai offers to take beneatha home to africa
Beneatha doesn’t give an answer
Walter is going to accept pay from the whiteman to not live in that white neighborhood
Mama feels disappointed because beneatha doesn’t love walter anymore
The white man from claybor
Walter tells the white man that they’re going to move into the house
Mama takes her plant and leaves

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Reflection On November 15th, 2019, I saw Cheshire Academy’s Drama Club put on the production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” by Simon Stephens in the Black Box Theater on campus. This production told told the story of a Boy named Christopher, who struggled with autism, and how he delt with family issues within his home, figuring out who he is as a person, and being held as a suspect for the murder of one of his neighbor’s dog. There were many themes in this play as well. The most important theme was the importance of self recognition. Early in the play, Christopher does not really know who he is. He has to struggle and go through many obstacles in order to find himself. But he persevered, got through the tough times, and by the end of the play he had a good idea of who he was as a person. The Story of an Hour HW Question

To modernize this story, I would bring the technology of that time up to date, make the characters and quotes more relatable to people from our time, and I would add more emotion and effects as well. One way I would do this would to be to set this story in a high school. For example, a friend tells someone to tell someone a rumor they heard, it gets all over social media, all just to find out the horrible rumor was not true.
